Sasha Živković joins Wood as Principal Geotechnical Engineer


We are pleased to announce Aleksandar (Sasha) Živković has joined Wood as principal geotechnical engineer in our Environment & Infrastructure Solutions business. Sasha will be responsible for driving mining initiatives and providing technical expertise and leadership to our Ontario and Quebec mining teams.

Sasha has 33 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on construction, field investigation, tailings analysis, site selection studies, quality assurance and quality control and earthen and earth-rock dam design. He has performed large underground and surface excavations for hydropower and urban-municipal infrastructure projects. He has also managed the design, construction and operation of mine waste and water management and civil mine infrastructure projects at sites across the world. With his diverse expertise, Sasha has an NI 43-101 Qualified Persons designation.

Prior to joining Wood, Sasha served as a manager of repository engineering at the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, where he managed contracts related to conceptual design and construction management for the underground and surface domains of a significant national infrastructure project.
