More encouraging drilling results have been reported by Explorations Cache (ME) from three holes at the Courville gold property northeast of Val d’Or, Que. Cache, which is earning up to a 50% interest in the project from Parquet Resources (TSE), says hole 21 was drilled west of the previously discovered gold-bearing zone. Holes 23 and 24 are east of the zone.
Hole 90-CC-21 returned 5 ft. of 0.15 oz. gold per ton. Hole 90- CC-23 cut 9 ft. of 0.13 oz and 13.3 ft. of 0.16 oz. (including 9.2 ft. of 0.2 oz.). Hole 90-CC-24 intersected 14.5 ft. of 0.14 oz., including 7.2 ft. of 0.17 oz.
Cache says the gold-bearing zone on the property has been traced along a strike length of 1,000 ft. and to a depth of 500 ft.
Future exploration work will include more drilling of the zone and an investigation of the recently acquired Lavallee property situated in the western extension of the Courville property.
Elsewhere, Cache plans further work this year at the Mining Brook placer gold project in Quebec’s Eastern Twps.
