Execs adjust holdings with change in season

Recent insider trading transactions reported by the Ontario Securities Commission in its OSC Bulletin include the following:

Asia Pacific Resources (APQ-T) — John Darch, director, indirectly and privately bought 790,000 shares at 31 or 50 per share to hold 6.29 million shares.

Birim Goldfields (BGI-T) — Denis Simoneau, director, bought 15,000 shares at 20 or 25 and then sold 220,000 shares at 24 to hold 72,500 shares.

Black Swan Resources (BSW-T) — Stephen Fabian, director, bought 50,000 shares directly at 19 and another 124,200 shares indirectly at 19 or 20 to hold 1.3 million shares directly and 1.25 million shares indirectly; Francis Johnstone, director, bought 174,200 shares at 19 or 20 to hold 1 million shares indirectly; and Kenneth Judge, a director and owner of more than 10% of the company, sold 1.05 million shares indirectly at 23 to hold just under 9 million shares indirectly.

Boliden (BLS-T) — Carl Bennet, director, bought 2.27 million shares indirectly at $1.85 to hold 8.58 million shares indirectly; and Goran Collert, director, sold 300,000 shares at $1.80 and then bought 400,000 shares at $1.82-1.89 to hold 400,000 shares.

Farallon Resources (FAN-T) — Robert Dickinson, director, sold 78,500 shares indirectly at 55-60 to hold 406,640 shares indirectly.

First Point Minerals (FPX-V) — Peter Bradshaw, director, bought 46,000 shares at 17-30 to hold 980,677 shares.

Foran Mining (FOM-V) — Gregory Binning, director, sold 469,000 shares directly at 3 or 4 and another 767 shares indirectly at an unspecified price to hold 523,700 shares directly and 8,600 shares indirectly.

Gabriel Resources (GBU-T) — Vasile Timis, director and owner of more than 10%, indirectly sold 1 million shares at $3.81-4 to hold 8.94 million shares.

Geomaque Explorations (GEO-T) — Butler Machinery, owner of more than 10%, pirvately bought 10.6 million shares at 7 to hold 10.6 million shares; and Phillip Walford, director, was granted 200,000 options with an exercise price of 10 to hold 505,000 options.

Hope Bay Gold (HGC-T) — David Fennell, director, was indirectly granted 1.3 million shares as compensation for services to hold 7.9 million shares indirectly; Peter Cavelti, who must report his trading activity by virtue of being an executive of a company that holds more than 10% of Hope Bay, bought 25,000 shares indirectly at 21 to hold 75,000 shares indirectly; and Vijay Kirpalani, executive of a company holding more than 10%, was granted 100,000 options with an exercise price of 32 to hold 100,000 options.

Millstream Mines (YLI-V) — Bruce Hauser, director, bought 65,000 shares directly at 7-9 and another 9,000 shares indirectly at 7 to hold 429,000 shares directly and 1.83 million shares indirectly; and Robert Chase, director, bought 10,000 shares at 8 and then sold 10,000 shares at 10 to hold 458,000 shares.

Platinova (PAS-T) — Gerhard Von Finck, owner of more than 10%, bought 69,000 shares at 12-16 to hold 4.85 million shares.

Tan Range Exploration (TNX-T) — Frank Hallam, director, sold 34,500 shares at 29-35 to hold 26,500 shares; Wayne Beach, director, sold 62,500 shares at 40 to hold 625,000 shares; Norman Hardie, director, privately bought 62,500 shares at 40 to hold 62,500 shares; and Albert Gourley, director, sold 6,000 shares at 32 to hold none.

Wallbridge Mining (WM-T) — Risto Laamanen, director and owner of more than 10% of the company, privately sold 100,000 shares at an unspecified price to hold 2.84 million shares.

Western Copper Holdings (WTC-T) — Dale Corman, who is an executive of a company owning more than 10%, sold 200,000 shares at 79 to hold 159,520 shares.

Wheaton River Minerals (WRM-T) — Raymond Bergen, officer, exercised 40,000 warrants at 35 and sold 20,000 shares at 63 to hold 132,240 warrants and 70,321 shares; Ian McDonald, director, sold 40,500 shares at 60-72 to hold 448,205 shares; and Thomas Price, officer, sold 30,000 shares at 64-70 to hold 243,984 shares.
